Creative Connections Residency
A new residency program that brings together professional musicians and emerging musicians currently studying at colleges and conservatories. This 6- to 8- person group includes IfCM Teaching Artists along with college musicians to rehearse and perform original music for younger students.
Our innovative programs are designed to stimulate students' imaginations, and range from using the musical basics to professional training in a real-world ensemble setup. In addition to the workshops listed below IfCM Teaching Artists are available for individual and group lessons on performance, composition, and arranging, and are willing to answer questions about the music business, recording, and other related topics.
Our Teaching Artists integrate many different teaching methods including song learning sequences and scaffolding based on the methods of Dr. Christopher Azzara and Dr. Richard Grunow. Traditional learning methods are also employed, including written music, recording, performance, and self-evaluation, positive reinforcement, and eliciting questions from the students and teachers.
For more information about what the IfCM can bring to your music program please send us a message through our contact page or by emailing us at email@example.com
