April 30th is International Jazz Day--come join the Rochester celebration! Based on a similar concert at the Undead Jazz Festival seventeen improvising musicians will take part over the course of 90-minutes. Musician 1 will play solo for 5 minutes and then be joined by musician 2.

Institute for Creative Music workshop at Big Sky High School, Missoula, Montana Featuring students and faculty from Big Sky High School and Hellgate High School with the IfCM Collective. We spent some time learning this simple bass line melody by ear (based around the D dorian mode) and working with ways to deconstruct and reshape it without a strict pulse.
