Creative Music Kids

Grace and I are halfway through our Denton Jazz Workshops session and we're having a great time with all of the students while learning a ton. We'll be sharing exciting news about the end of the semester event very soon (spoiler alert, it's gonna be a real shabingus). In the meantime there is an event this Wednesday for all!

As a preview for the new Creative Music Kids Family Workshop and Group Piano Classes I'll be playing and singing at Emily Fowler Central Library on Denton on 3/29 from 4:30-5pm. Bring the fam out to get a taste of the workshops that will start up a week from then (April 5th and 6th). I got to visit my daughter Frankie's class at the Denton Unitarian Universalist Fellowship last week (pictured at the top) and it was a blast. Fact: kids love songs about food and that have their names in them. If you come you can sing songs about food and sing your OWN NAME and the names of everyone in attendance (what a treat to be known in a song). Come on out and share with folks who have kids ages 0-7. I'm really excited that people are utilizing the sliding scale pricing we're offering for all of our classes. This is the deal, all are encouraged to participate regardless of ability to pay. The IfCM wishes to be 100% inclusive of all interested people and our programming is made possible by donations from members of the community. Spread the word about our sliding scale options and if you can contribute to the IfCM to support it it's a HUGE help to know how many class sections and students we can fully or partially assist. Make a difference to current and future students today through a tax-deductible gift. Heck, get in touch with me (chris@ifcmusic.org) and sponsor a whole bunch of students to enjoy fun, high-quality, research-based creative music education in our Denton community.
